Immunization Policy
ActiveKidMD believes in the importance of vaccines for preventing both individual and community-based diseases.
As of May 1, 2019, primary-care pediatric patients of ActiveKidMD must meet the following criteria:
- Complete the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommended vaccination schedule for birth thru 18 months by the 2nd birthday
- Complete the CDC recommended vaccination schedule for age 4-6 years by school-entry (transitional or full kindergarten)
- While we strongly recommend an annual influenza vaccine, this vaccine is not part of the requirement to be fully adherent to our vaccine policy.
Patients who do not adhere to these criteria will be asked to leave the ActiveKidMD practice and find another practice that better meets the needs of their family.
